day 6

today i got a visit from my supervisor and she did observe me teaching English in 5Biru..
everything went well except for the task that i gave to them..i should improvise more on the practice and include more new knowledge throughout the lesson..besides, the activities should be more challenging and involve the higher order thinking which may encorage them to engage in the classroom activities..nevertheless i should also aware that some of the students may have low level of proficiency in English..hence i should consider some aspects before conducting classroom activity with them..

my supervisor said i have the sweet demeanor-a positive trait for a teacher,she claimed =p..
but i have to be firm when i need to. i should also work to cut down on teacher talk and let the students do the talking and think of sumting dat may require their participations. i should engage the students in the activities by eliciting the information from them.

today i conductd a competition between groups.. i asked them to choose one representative from their group to say the tongue twister dat i pasted on the board..i recorded the time consumed for saying it and the group that was able to say it in the shortest amount of time would be the winner..one of the girls managed to finish it very fast-around 4seconds compared to average which are 7++ seconds..clear pronunciation..
